Q&A WITH SHANEIREE DAMES
What unique perspective do you bring to your practice?
I bring two things that rarely sit together in one coach. The first is nearly two decades inside one of the most complex professional services organizations in the world, which means I understand the actual texture of senior leadership: the politics, the pressure, and the moments of doubt that never make it into a performance review. The second is a coaching and facilitation approach that goes beyond strategy and behavior into how leaders actually experience themselves when they lead. That combination of organizational realism and deep human attentiveness is what I bring to every engagement.
Describe major career/life decisions that led you to your current role. How have these experiences shaped the way you engage with clients?
I began my career in HR and human capital, working alongside senior leaders at PwC for nearly two decades. Over time I realized that the most meaningful work I was doing was not the programs or the processes. It was the conversations. The moments when a leader stopped performing and started thinking. That recognition led me to pursue the ICF MCC credential and to deepen my commitment to coaching and facilitation as a profession. Being Argentine, bilingual, and having worked across cultures also shaped how I hold difference in the room, not as a variable to manage, but as a source of richness.
What are a couple of your biggest successes?
Developing and leading PwC's national career advisory practice remains one of my proudest professional achievements. I built it into a firm-wide resource that supported hundreds of senior leaders through some of the most consequential career moments of their lives, earning trust at the highest levels of a complex, demanding organization.
The second is the depth and breadth of work I have accumulated over two decades as both a coach and a facilitator. Whether working one on one with a leader navigating a pivotal transition or facilitating a room full of senior professionals toward greater clarity and alignment, the through line has always been the same: creating the conditions for people to think better, lead better, and act with greater intention. That is the work I am most proud of.
